A Dilemma
I am attending Windycon. It's at the Lombard Westin, which is literally six blocks from my house. So I'm a bit reluctant to spend money for a room, especially after my grand tour of the American Southwest.
On the other hand, I like having a room at a Con. If (when) I get a drink at the bar, I can charge it to the room. I have a place to dump my stuff, and if I decide to indulge my inner introvert I have a spot to do so.
On the gripping hand, as Jerry Pournelle would say, it's not like I can't afford to spend the cash. I do have a job, saints be praised.
Thoughts?
