I am scheduled for my first COVID-19 shot on Thursday! My local VA's guidance had originally been "don't call us, we'll call you." Well, I decided to email them today and check. They replied immediately with a phone number to call, which I did, which resulted in me getting an appointment for Thursday. (First available was actually Tuesday.)

So, yes, Mom, it pays to check.
