Well, on the one hand I've seen the Sad Puppies standing in a big circle and assuring each other from their respective blogs that everyone thought they weren't "real fans" after a post on File 770 saying basically "you're a fan if you do fannish things; nobody's going to keep you out." So I know from experience they can misinterpret stuff and blow one person not kissing their feet assiduously enough up into the whole world hating them.

On the other hand I accentuate the positive in many of my blog posts too, so it's not beyond the bounds of possibility that he was unhappy at the time.
