It's clear and sunny in Chicago, for the first day in what seems like forever. It could be warmer, but I'll take what I can get.
In writing news, I had some time to kill while my car was getting an oil change, so I tried to write.

The downside of writing in a public place is that, even though I was quite obviously busy, some guy wanted to talk to me, since he saw my bank's name on my shirt. For those who write in coffee shops, is this a problem? Or is it just me?
Although I wacked out almost 900 words, they're lousy, and will (mostly) have to be redone. However, putting words on paper got me out of the hole for that sub-plot. Seeing what doesn't work shows me what will (or at least might) work.
Probably no writing tonight - after-hours event for work. Since they pay better, I guess I need to attend!
