A mixed bag of good and bad news. My novel The Mars Run sold 12 copies in July - a record. The bad news is that 12 copies isn't exactly lighting the world on fire.
My short story "A Frog In Hot Water" was rejected by Oceans of the Mind, an on-line magazine, for their Mysteries issue. The editor sent a "close but no cigar" reply. Oceans is a tough market to crack, because he's always doing a themed issue. The story is now at Strange Horizons.
I'll be in San Fransisco next week, so posting might be a bit light.
