A Great Weight Lifted
Mar. 4th, 2007 10:29 amThe Rotary Club of Darien's 23rd annual auction is over! I am "Auction Czar" for the club, and put in a lot of work on it. I tend to get stressed out over it, something that I need to work on.
The auction itself did well. We hired CM Benefit Auctions to run the actual auction. Now, we still had to get the people and the stuff, but once we got that, they took over. The final numbers aren't in, but we had record gross receipts. Not only that, everybody who attended enjoyed the auction. Ashton Place, our banquet hall in Willowbrook, did an outstanding job on food. The Downers Grove and Woodridge Rotary Clubs both sent volunteers, and overall, we had a wildly successful evening.
Well, now I can put that experience out of my mind and move on to other things, like writing and passing my CCNA exam!
