I like my Vue!

As mentioned, I recently bought a Saturn Vue hybrid. I am continually impressed by this vehicle. Although nobody would confuse it with a sports car, for a vehicle of its class (small SUV) it has quite a bit of pickup and overall good handling. Not only that, but the mileage numbers are definitely for real. My next-to-last tank, driving in town, returned 24 miles per gallon. My recent expressway run to my parent's house (178 miles, average speed 70 MPH +) returned 32 MPG.! With gas at $3.20 a gallon (no snickering from the Canadians, please) that's great news.

Numbers

I just got back from a quiet weekend at my parent's place in Westville, Il. Friday night, we watched the TV show NUMB3RS, and in honor of that, here's a few numbers from the weekend.

Golf score (for 9 holes - first outing of the year) = 52

Skeet score (for 50 targets) = 30. My excuse was that it was very windy. The low house birds either hovered or climbed like rockets, and the high house birds were continually being knocked down. The fact that I only shoot every other month or so probably doesn't help my score much.

Flooring sheets put down on enclosed patio = 5

Number of times we took up the last sheet to re-cut so it would fit around the door frame = I lost count after 6.
