Happy Thanksgiving
Nov. 27th, 2008 11:23 amI'm downstate at my parent's house, and have been since Tuesday night. I'm thankful for all the usual things, including both mine and my family's good health. Also worth being thankful for in this budding recession is solid finances, both for me and my family.
The big Thanksgiving feast is this afternoon, so that's the rest of the day's agenda. Tomorrow, Dad, one of my relatives and I are taking our pistols to a local gun range, while the ladies are going shopping. It appears that the "black Friday" evening meal will be pizza.
Lastly, I've been a bit remiss in not plugging Project Valour-IT. This organization buys voice-activated laptops and other adaptive technology for wounded soldiers. They are running a fundraiser through Thanksgiving where you get to donate by teams. I'm giving to Team Navy of course, but follow the link and give to the team of your choice. (I note that the Air Farce is struggling, as usual.)
