Some time back, my parents bought a block of time with an outfit called the Travel Advantage Network. As near as I can tell, this company agregates and rents time in time-share condos. My parents put me and my sister on the list to book units.
Unfortunately, even though I am in the market for a vacation, I'm not sure I can use this service. It appears that they only book full weeks. Although work will in fact let me take a week's vacation, I don't think I should be gone that long. There's too much stuff happening here at work, and I'd hate to spend half my vacation worrying about the pile of stuff growing on my desk. So, I'm looking for something shorter, at least for the spring trip, unless I book a week and check out early.

One of my cousins, Bill Burke, blogs (he's on the friends list at left). I recently got an email that another cousin, Andrea Burke Troyer, decided to blog as well. Apparently it's the in thing to do.
Another email brings news that my grade school, St. Mary's Grade School in lovely Westville, IL is going broke. A fellow alumni, Kenny Gilbreath, created a website to Save St. Mary's. A noble idea, but the reason they are going broke is lack of enrollment, so the question is, "save for who?"
