Breaking Radio Silence

I apologize for not posting - not much of interest going on for the past couple of days. It seems like I've been running around playing the social gadfly for the past few weeks, so I'm looking forward to getting some quiet time at home. Besides, my dandelions are smarter then jimhines's - they're working on gunpowder! (See here second paragraph down for the joke.)

Here's a couple of interesting things to peruse before the dandelions take over the Earth:

Kennebec Captain, a US Master Mariner, has a number of interesting thoughts, including the (lack of) visible convoys off of the Somali coast.
