Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, Over?

So, the hot political question this week has been "where's Governor Sanford?" He's the governor of South Carolina, and he's been missing since last Thursday. Well, supposedly he was "found" by his staff hiking the Appalachian Trail.

Except we now hear he was in Argentina! Hello, Gov, aren't you supposed to be like, findable in the event of an emergency? Hell, if even a private citizen left town (let alone the country) without telling his wife, wouldn't folks find that, well, odd?

It appeared that Sanford was a bit of a flake. Sometimes, appearances are not deceiving.

So apparently the Case of the Missing Governor has been cracked - he was having an affair. I watched part of his news conference, and unlike the typical "politician gets caught with pants around ankles" he seemed sincerely saddened.

But dude, seriously - get a better cover story.
