White Smoke

This is probably not a surprise based on my last pre-award post, but Scalzi's book was my first vote for "Best Related." I can't remember if I ranked Gaiman's novel first or second (I think I went with Stross for sentimental reasons), but it was definitely a worthy Hugo winner. Well, in truth all of the winners were good, but none were first on my ballot.
Perhaps obviously, I'm back from my weekend in Westville. The parents took me golfing Saturday, and fed me a large steak with a side of fried zucchinis Saturday night. We also watched the 2004 version of the movie Shall We Dance, which was an entertaining romantic comedy with a slightly less-then-obvious ending. At any rate, today I'm back at the salt mines, so I shall have to wrap this up.
