Obama's Health Care Speech
Sep. 10th, 2009 11:25 amSo I watched Obama's health care speech last night. I thought it was eloquent, rational and reasonable. The usual suspects over at Simberg's Flying Circus were upset. They felt that Obama was "talking down" to Americans.
This reaction is why the Republicans are currently in the minority. Obama spoke calmly and reasonably, ignored Joe "Liar Liar Pants on Fire" Wilson and called out Republicans by name where he was recommending adoption of their ideas. Democrats and the President looked bipartisan and open-minded; the Republicans looked petty and bitter.
Now comes the real test - can Obama and the Democrats actually close the deal?
