A Fundraiser and Facebook
Feb. 11th, 2010 02:44 pmI've been using Facebook for about a month now, and I find it frustrating that it:
1) Doesn't allow me to format text (like bold, italics or underline)
2) Truncates posts
I find this especially irritating when I am trying to communicate a lengthy thought. Specifically:
As my fellow Westville High School classmates know, the 25th reunion for the class of 1985 will be held June 12, 2010 at the Beefhouse in Covington, IN. The 25th anniversary class (our class) is responsible for paying for the dinners of the 50th anniversary class (Class of 1960). Our classmate D. L. Rolinitis is running the reunion, and has asked me to raise some money to pay for it.
So, I have signed us up for HoopsMania, a charitable raffle tied to the NCAA Final Four basketball tournament. Each ticket cost $20, of which $14 is profit for the alumni association. Tickets have three chances to win, with a maximum payout of $1,000, and a 1 in 52 chance of winning at least $100. The HoopsMania link has all the gory details. We only pay for tickets actually sold.
If you are interested in buying and/or selling ticket(s), please email me at cgerrib at comcast dot net or post a comment below and I will ship out ticket(s) when they arrive, probably late next week. Go Tigers!
