These four-day work weeks can be stressful, primarily because everybody else is working a normal five days. So, having caught up, a few random thoughts:
Kitchen update My new countertop will be installed Monday, as will the remaining nits and nibbles of work. Hurrah!
Personal update The zipper on my not-that-old leather coat just busted. Bah humbug!
Sarah Palin Has No Sense of Humor So says this lady, the Downs-syndrome-suffering voice actor in the TV show Family Guy. (Gacked from various sources)
You've heard about the dude who flew his plane into an IRS office in Texas. Apparently, his beef with the IRS started back in the 1980s, when he tried to declare himself a church, thus exempt from income tax. Alas, the IRS was not amused (scroll down at the link). I'm sorry, but if you really think declaring yourself a church and your family your congregation is going to work, you're a few beers short of a six-pack. (Hat tip Digby).

cmpriest is doing a (well-deserved) Snoopy dance, since her wonderful novel Boneshaker
is listed. Hopefully, Boneshaker will make it to the Hugo ballot as well.
