Ramblings in the Rain
Apr. 6th, 2010 10:34 amA set of thunderstorms rumbled through Chicago this morning. When I woke up, the news was talking about a severe thunderstorm with sizeable hail that was supposed to hit Villa Park, my home, around 8 AM. I decided to keep the newly-paid-off car in the garage vs. get it all dented up. Of course, by the time the storm actually got to me, it was just a brief downpour. Had I left, assuming the best, I'm sure I'd be bitching about my dented car.
In other news, my alumni association fundraiser is over - no winners to pay off. So it goes. Our next event is a golf outing May 30th in Danville.
Lastly, as I discussed in yesterday's entry, my windshield time Sunday helped remove a plot logjam. Last night, the resulting words actually hit paper, or more accurately the word processing file.
