Four Interesting Articles
Jun. 29th, 2010 10:41 amHere are four interesting articles, offered because I've got Rotary today and little time to blog:
1) We're told that "it's impossible to power America on just renewable energy." Well, these guys (PDF link) beg to differ. Granted, it would require a massive governmental effort to do, but it's not impossible.
2) We've heard that General Petraeus is The Bestest General Ever (tm) and that he can fix anything. We've also heard that he won The Surge (tm) in Iraq. Well, this fellow thinks that Petraeus' real success is in lowering expectations. I'm not sure I entirely agree with the assessment, but it's an interesting one.
3) Clusterstock says Reminder, The Deficit You're Freaking Out About Is Bush's Fault. The two single largest factors in the deficit? Bush-era tax cuts (#1) and the war in Iraq and Afghanistan (#2).
4) That "Internet kill switch?" Not so much.
