Well, if I'm using my Secret Liberal Message Decoder Ring (tm) right, I'm supposed to talk about the DOMA court ruling and the uptick in million-dollar-plus home foreclosures.

DOMA The federal Defense Of Marriage Act (DOMA) signed in 1996 came under legal fire recently. Now that Massachusetts has gay marriage, under DOMA, federal employees couldn't get federal benefits. Last night, a federal judge (appointed by that flaming liberal Richard Nixon) ruled parts of DOMA unconstitutional. If you go to the link, you'll get A Candid World's sharp legal analysis. He notes there that this case hings on that Tea Party favorite, the 10th Amendment. You know, the one that reserves power to the states? Get out the popcorn, folks - this could be fun.

Million Dollar Defaults Some of the more uninformed parts of the blogosphere blame the housing crisis on the Community Reinvestment Act, which attempts to extend credit to people who were historically discriminated against. Presented without further comment, Walking Away From Million-Dollar Mortgages.
