Probably going to send in my ballot (electronically) tonight, so here's my final thoughts. If it's not discussed here, I'm not voting.

Short Stories

The Bride of Frankenstein (Mike Resnick) - One of two "brides" stories in this year's collection, both of them good.
Bridesicle (Will McIntosh) - the other bride story, and a slight winner due to the cool factor.
The Moment (Lawrence M. Schoen) - definitely weird.
Non-Zero Probabilities (N.K. Jemisin) - also weird, but entertaining.
Spar (Kij Johnson) - sorry, too experimental for me.

Best Related Book: As last year, my criterion is "which book would I have actually bought?" By that standard, Jack Vance's memoir wins.

Best Dramatic Presentation, Long Form: I wouldn't vote for Star Trek if it were the only thing on the ballot. Of the rest, I've only seen District 9 and Avatar. Avatar wins on the cool factor, but District 9 was damned close.

I'm going to sit out the Dramatic Short Form and both Editor categories this year, due to lack of knowledge. I'm also pretty clueless on the Campbell group, so I'll let those in the know vote on that. [livejournal.com profile] shsilver will get my top nod for fan writer, with Frederik Pohl right on his tail. I think Clarkesworld needs to get top semi-pro mag, since they put two shorts on the ballot.

Tomorrow looks like a busy day, so it will probably be link salad.
