Windy City
Oct. 26th, 2010 10:57 amThe Windy City is living up to its name this morning - a hell of a fall storm blew through, starting at around 3 AM and bringing thunderstorms right during the morning rush hour - storms which spawned a tornado. The affiliated low pressure system, which has produced a record low pressure for October of 29.07 inches, is expected to produce gusts up to 70 MPH for the rest of the day and into tomorrow.
Other than this morning's rain, it appears the storm will be fairly dry. My part of town hasn't suffered any damage of note, so my only complaint is lack of sleep from getting woken up by the winds. Of course, today was our annual "Health Day" at work, so I had to be in early and get my blood drawn sans breakfast or coffee. Still, if that's the worst complaint for the day, I'm in great shape.
