New Year's Eve
Dec. 31st, 2010 01:21 pmI'm winning the Battle of the Bug, but it's a battle of attrition. Thus, New Year's Eve will be celebrated at home, for the first time in several years.
I'm actually not a big fan of New Year's Eve parties. Most such events are a combination of Amateur Hour guests and overpriced booze. However, the last few years I've found an event at a hotel that provides good value for the money. Being at a hotel means that I don't have to brave another New Year's Eve tradition, that of Dodge The Drunks on the road. (It's hard to crash an elevator. Not impossible, but hard.)
At this rate, I'll be 100% just in time to go back to work...
