The Snow Is Coming!!! (Eventually)
Feb. 1st, 2011 10:39 amWe're still on high alert for Snowpocalypse 2011 here in Chicago. We got the expected light dusting this morning, and right now it's just cloudy. That will surely change. In the meantime, have some content:
A) My review of Hank Quense's latest novel, Zaftan Entrepreneurs, is available on POD People. For those not clicking over, the book is an amusing and satirical read.
B) Tobias Buckell points out that a lot of anti-rail attitudes stem from lack of information. Basically, neither roads nor rails (nor air, for that matter) pays for itself. Of course, one shouldn't use facts like these to confuse the Tea Party types!
C) The headline says it all: Congress Passes Socialized Medicine and Mandates Health Insurance -In 1798. Or, as somebody else noted, Yes, Virginia, there were "Big Government" Founding Fathers.
