Friday!

I woke up this morning in Chicago and saw this unusual bright yellowish object rising in a suspiciously blue sky /grin/. Yes, it is nice to see the Sun - April has been a wet and dreary month.

The morning TV news was full of royal wedding coverage. I couldn't care less, but then I say the same thing about professional sports. If you find it entertaining, knock yourself out. ETA:  I found this discussion about royalty now and then very interesting.

Via Talking Points Memo, I hear that Canada is having an election. My Canadian readers may have other comments, but at least TPM seems to think that the liberal-ish parties in Canada may pull off a win.

In other news, there is a Space Shuttle launch this afternoon, the second-to-last launch ever. God Speed, Endeavour.
