Just Gosh-Darn Nice!

So, the award-winning author and puppeteer Mary Robinette Kowal announced that she was taking a vacation, which included not blogging or emailing on a regular basis. She said "if you wish to contact me, send me a paper letter and I will reply in kind," or words to that effect.

Well, since I hadn't had a chance to congratulate her for winning the Hugo in person, I decided to mail her a congratulation card. The card said "you deserve a cookie." She mailed back a gracious thank you note (handwritten) telling me that she did treat herself to several cookies.

Like I said, Mrs. Kowal is just gosh-darn nice!
