Two for Tuesday
Dec. 20th, 2011 10:08 amTwo short thoughts for a slow Tuesday:
1) The Lego company is trying to appeal to girls. One of the things I found most interesting in the article is the assertion that girls play with things in first person while boys play with things in third person. It's the difference from "I want to be that doll" to "watch that dude blow up real good!"
2) Diagnoses of childhood autism have increased radically over the past decade or so. The question has always been, is there a sudden increase in autism or did we miss a lot of people? Based on this study, which found a lot of adults with hidden autism, it looks like we missed a lot of kids back in the day.
