News, Various and Sundry
Jun. 8th, 2012 09:15 amSorry for not posting yesterday - one of my coworkers went on vacation and I had to cover for him. He's still out, but I'm caught up.
I've mentioned that I hired a personal trainer back in March. Well, for various scheduling issues, we had our first session together in two weeks. She decided to up our training, having me run, as opposed to walk, between exercise sets during our session. Apparently I'm getting into better shape, because I made it around the track. The proof of the pudding comes later today - I have a checkup and review of blood work.
In publishing news, apparently I will be selling books at the Printers Row Lit Fest. There was a last-minute cancellation for a slot 10 AM - 12 on Saturday (AKA "tomorrow.") So I'll be filling it. Hopefully I'll be in and out before it gets too hot.
ETA, afternoon: Well, apparently 3 months of a personal trainer is not enough time to fix a decade of sitting on my ass. Progress noted in my blood work, but still a ways to go. I should say that my exam went a hell of a lot better than a lady a few rooms down - the doc called 911 and had her taken to the hospital!
