A Target-rich Environment for Blogging
Jan. 17th, 2013 09:38 amSome days there's a lot of stuff to blog about. Today is one of those days.
1) I really, really don't follow college sports or sports in general, so, this story about Manti Te’o’s dead girlfriend was news to me. It's also a hoax. The lengthy article has all the details, but since Manti claims to have actually met the non-existent woman, it's hard to see how he's not a willing participant.
2) From League of Ordinary Gentlemen, I read about Barack Obama 2.0. The gist of the article is that Obama has decided to spend his second term breaking the right-wing fringe of the Republican party. He's going to do that by forcing them to either vote against stated principles or look even more stupid then they already do. If true, we're in for an interesting few years, in part because this breaking will not necessarily lead to the desired political outcomes for liberals.
3) From Gin and Tacos, a hilarious little story on how Freedom In America Dies. Well worth the click.
