As you may have heard elsewhere, the year 2013 is over and we're now in the year 2014. Here in Chicago, Mother Nature decided to ring in the New Year by snowing continuously since mid-day yesterday. This is on top of an 18-hour-long dump starting at 2 PM New Year's Eve. Neither snow was blizzard-like, but steady. Suffice it to say we've got a special on snow here in Chicago.
As a result, the guy to fix my heat was a few minutes late due to traffic. But he got'er done, and I left for work. I very quickly decided that driving to my office in Oak Brook would take forever, so I'm working at our Darien branch today in a spare office. There are advantages of being a laptop user.
