Writing and Reviews, A Ramble

Last night was my writer's workshop. We were down a member (Daye Jobbe Blues) but useful writing program related activities were held. My offering was one of the two climatic chapters in the current WIP, One Of Our Spaceships is Missing. There's another climatic chapter to write, in which I wrap up the B-side plot.
Reviews
On Heroines of Fantasy, my review of No Earthly Shore is available. I found the novella a delightful if short read.
In other news, I am about halfway through Jim C. Hines' "latest," Rise of the Spider Goddess. It's a novel he wrote in 1995 and (wisely) abandoned as unsalvageable. As a gag, he's releasing it unedited and snarking periodically on the bad writing, which is bad. So far it's been worth a couple of chuckles.
