Apr. 18th, 2016 10:58 amOver the weekend, I attended the final concert of the 39th season of the New Philharmonic Orchestra, playing at College of DuPage. The headline act was "dueling pianos" starring two Chicago-based players, Winston Choi and Marta Aznavoorian. The piano pieces were enjoyable, but to get to them, I had to sit through Mahler's 4th Symphony. It was 55 minutes of snoozefest, punctuated with 4 or 5 false endings per movement. Now, work and Rotary stuff. Happy Monday.
