Trump and J6, or Fraud!
Aug. 3rd, 2023 12:59 pmI don't feel I have a lot of readers here anymore, but I find putting stuff here helps me find it later. So:
1) a humorous take on Trump's most-recent-but-probably-not-last indictment: In Defense of Charles Manson.
2) An explanation as to why Here’s Why Trump’s Usual Defenses Won’t Work. Money quote: Think of it this way. You may be absolutely convinced that a charge on your credit card isn’t yours, but you can’t hack into the bank’s server to remove it. You may know with all your heart that your neighbor took your Rolex, but you can’t break into his house in the middle of the night to retrieve it (just ask O.J. Simpson about that one). You may hold it as an article of near-religious faith that the government is tyrannical, but you can’t blow up the federal building.
3) The title says it all: People Are Lying To You About The Trump Indictment.
4) Not entirely related to Trump, but why more politicians aren't calling him out: Sheeple Who Need Sheeple. Money quote: they are afraid of Trump’s voters, and therefore, are afraid of their own potential voters, if their own voters (i.e. Trump’s voters) are to keep them in power. Which is why, as Reverend Russell J. Levenson Jr. (George H.W. Bush’s former pastor) recently wrote about “key leaders of the GOP, who seem — either by design or default — intent on steering their adherents to certain ruin, without regard for the moral implications of their actions,” they are in “ a moral abyss.”
