So I think I found out about this book via the Self Published Science Fiction Competition of which it was a finalist. By the time I had gotten round to reading it, I forgot this, and only remembered when I Googled the title. I found it an interesting read.

The book promises to deliver the answer to a civilization-ending problem. It does not, although the story told, although slight (203 pages) was interesting and emotionally powerful. I hope to see more from this writer.
