Full disclosure - I backed the Kickstarter for this book and am friends with the author. Having said that, I really enjoyed this short book. Yeah it's YA or even middle school but it's still funny. Amelia is a goblin who has been forced to go to a human-run school which is trying to make her, well, act like a human. Then she discovers the human rulers of her world have other plans. Since everybody knows goblins can't be heroes, she goes on a quest to find some.

I found the novel a quick read and very entertaining. The author also sneaks in a lot of deeper thoughts, cleverly disguised among the jokes. Bottom line - an enjoyable read.
