1) From Gin and Tacos, I learn that the US trails nearly the entire industrialized world in car ownership (including leases) per capita. Despite this fact, because we drive bigger cars and more miles, we still consume more energy.

daveon, I present I am a god-damned Randian fucking superhero. Unlike many of the libertarians calling for a tax-free nirvana (paging Paul Ryan, Paul Ryan, please pick up the white courtesy telephone) he's actually started businesses. (Paul Ryan's sole private enterprise experience is that of a fry-cook at McDonalds and a few months at his family's business.)
