Not fun day

chris_gerribToday was not fun. I'm trying to round up items for my Rotary club's charity auction, which involves a lot of calling members and saying, "that 'thing' you said you'd donate. What is it?" Etc.
To add to the amusement factor, I've had to deal with three headhunters today. One launched into hard sell #2, complete with (same as last time) the female voice in the background feeding him things to say. The other one "just needed to touch base" (three times) because apparently I've been handed from one of the boiler-room flunkies to another. The last one (and the only pro in the lot) called because one of my interviews canceled due to boyfriend problems. (It's complicated. Sad for her, since she's probably suddenly single, but also Not My Problem.)
Oh, and it barely broke into the teens (Fahrenheit) today.
