As I mentioned in my March 9 post, I splurged on Nancy Fulda’s ([livejournal.com profile] nancyfulda) new project Anthology Builder. Basically, Ms. Fulda has built a front-end web site which creates an anthology of short stories selected by the user, and feeds that to Lulu.com for fulfillment as a book.

Well, I finished my anthology, Gerrib’s Favorite Authors last night. I have to say that I did a good job picking stories, because I enjoyed the lot of them. Now, I have to admit – not all the authors in the list were personal favorites – some of the stories were selected because I wanted to see samples of the types of stories certain magazines published. But that’s the beauty of the thing – you get to pick up to 300 pages of stories, so it’s a nice way to get a good sampling.

In a related note, Simon Owens, the proprietor of Bloggasm, recently interviewed both the creator of Anthology Builder, Nancy Fulda, as well as a few writers and customers. You can read his interview here.
