I was going to talk about the writing concept of "commit to action" but instead I'll talk about Veteran's Day. For my Canadian readers, that's what we in America call Armistice Day.

On 11 AM, November 11, 1918 (the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month) the guns of WWI fell silent. This brought to a close the bloodiest war the world had yet seen. Most of the combatant countries decided to celebrate that day as a holiday, for good reason. After WWII, a movement in the US started up to have a holiday for a all veterans, and it quickly became law.

Other then not working, I'm not doing anything special today. But yesterday I helped rededicate a statue, Spirit of the Fighting Yank, outside our bank's Devon Avenue, Chicago location. It was in sad shape, as you can see from the link, but now:

It's in great shape.
