So, thanks to the Big Brazilian River, a couple of new books, pre-ordered months ago, showed up on my doorstep today.

The first book is [livejournal.com profile] jimhines's latest, The Stepsister Scheme. Today is actually the book's official release date, although I was in Barnes and Noble this weekend and saw it (shelved face-out, no less) in the fantasy and science fiction section. Jim's been rather nervous about this one, since it's not a sequel to his goblin books - he's stepped up to writing about people now! (I'm sure that snide remark just cost me a drink at the next con we're at.)

Also arriving today was [livejournal.com profile] cmpriest's latest, Fathom. It's actually been out for a while, but since I'm too cheap to pay for shipping, it was hung up waiting for Hines' book to go out.

At any rate, looks like my To-Be-Read stack is just about ready to topple over.

Hey, there were people in the goblin books too! It's just that my protagonists kept eating them.
