The Path To 9/11

I watched Part 1 last night. I also read the entire 9/11 Commission report, and nothing in the ABC movie clashes with that report. Last night's segment made the Democrats look like idiots - tonight I suspect it's the Republicans turn.

My view on the debate is best summarized by something written by the columnist James Lileks. He said "9/11 reset the clock for me." He (and I) aren't terribly interested in who didn't do what about Bin Laden before 9/11 (both parties were pretty feckless). The important part is what we do now.

The Path to 9/11 part 2

was just as harsh on Republicans as Democrats. Condi Rice looked like an idiot, and the President wasn't seen. Again, nothing out of line with what the 9/11 Commission said. I suspect that partisans of both sides will be out in force tomorrow.
