Dec. 20th, 2007

I've never been noted for suffering fools gladly. However, it seems that in December, my patience level takes a nosedive, and I wonder why.

Part of me thinks that it's just a function of the calendar. December rolls around, and things I wanted to do, like selling novels or getting my love life out of low gear, haven't happened, so I'm cranked at myself. Also, December is a busy social month, which is a stress-or to most of us. I'm not very outgoing, so social activities can be even more stressful.

The other part of me wonders if it's a seasonal thing. I've heard of seasonal affective disorder (SAD) but I don't know enough about the disorder to see if that's it. Everything I've heard of SAD is that people just mope around - which is not the case.

Not looking for answers, per se, just thinking aloud.
