April Fools
Apr. 1st, 2008 10:40 amI suppose I should come up with some elaborate hoax, but between a persistent sinus problem (irritating but not serious) and a general case of the blahs, I'm taking a pass. In truth, I'm not much of a practical joker, which is the heart of April Fools Day jokes. If you have a burning desire to see one, visit this post on Mary Robinette Kowal's site.
I should also note that the latest issue of Jim Baen's Universe is up. It looks like Toby Buckell's got a story in the issue. I'll have to check it out.
Lastly, I finished Fire in a Faraway Place, the second magnum opus in the (slim) collection of Robert Frezza novels. (For background, visit here). It's marginally better then his first, although I don't think Frezza has a good handle on time dilation and general relativity. I have some other thoughts, mostly concerning Frezza's ending, which I'll post later.
Writing workshop tonight - should be a short one, with a scheduled adjournment of 8:30.
