A Change of Seasons
Apr. 3rd, 2008 03:25 pmChicago drivers know that we have two seasons here - "winter" and "construction." Based on my driving about today, the seasons have changed and we are now into "construction."
Also while driving about, I saw a very sad sight - a funeral procession with only four vehicles. Specifically, it was the hearse with a flag-draped coffin and three cars following.
My sinus problem has now been diagnosed as a problem with the tubes between my inner ear and my throat. The doctor had (of course) a technical name for it, but the gist is I'm taking Nasonex for the tube and an antihistamine (which is making me sleepy) for the vertigo.
Despite the fog, I got some writing done. Having had allergies as a kid, I've gotten lots of practice functioning in an antihistamine haze!

Things accomplished in fiction: Invented a sister, and got to add back 1,100 words of backstory about my lead pirate.
Other thoughts: I met with my writing group. I definitely need three scenes of my spies wandering about in enemy territory.
