Link Salad Leftovers
Jun. 20th, 2008 09:53 amI don't know about you, but I usually like leftovers. So, here's a few links, courtesy Jay Lake (
jaylake).
The first link is a specialty blog, Strange Maps. The title says it all. The blogger posts all kinds of weird maps, from a proposed project to damn and partially drain the Mediterranean Sea to Japanese air-raid maps. Very neat.
The second link is Air Minded, which is a blog by an Australian grad student / historian. He is working on a thesis, and his area of study is the development of military air power from 1900 - 1945, with a specialization in British aviation. It's definitely of interest to history buffs. His featured posts area looks like a good place to start. Of especial interest is the link on the Afghan Air Menace.
