Oct. 2nd, 2008 10:52 amI few days back, Jim Wright of Stonekettle Station found himself busy and referred his readers to my post on Why Fighter Pilots Make Lousy Presidents.
I think I'll return the favor and refer my readers to his post on creating a US Permanent Fund. Basically, as an Alaskan Jim gets money from a government-created firm that is funded by oil revenues. He suggests that, since we're going to own a metric ton of foreclosed houses via this bailout bill, that we the taxpayers find a way to benefit from the money.
Jim's proposal seems common-sensical, which means it's probably not politically viable, but I found it interesting. It's long, so go refill your beverage and read the whole thing.
