So, as I've mentioned previously, Space Rescue is done. I've gotten preliminary comments from one alpha reader, the gist of which was only minor updates needed. So, assuming that continues, hopefully I'll be able to start re-marketing this puppy.

Which brings up my next dilemma - what do to next? For me, winter is a great time to write. What else do you do on a cold weekend day? I'm not enough of a sports fan to have "the big game" to watch, and yardwork consists of shoveling snow.

So, my dilemma is what project to start / re-visit. On my hard drive I have:

Taken To Mars - a book about Martian settlement. I'm not sure I'm happy with this, since the original way-back-when concept was "you can't wall yourself off from evil, it comes from within." Although the plot is done, I've only got maybe 50% written.

Those Who Hide, Survive - a book about the aftermath of various artificial intelligences (mostly) winning a war against humanity. I've got a half-ass plot outline, and that's about it.

The Night Watch - a sequel to Space Rescue, all I have is a cool title and a vague concept. In Space Rescue, a critical scene takes place in the back room of a bar with a nearly full-sized reproduction of Rembrandt's The Night Watch on one wall. Well, now that the Space Rescue Service has decided to become militarily active against piracy, some faction / group of Space Rescue calls themselves "The Night Watch." Neat idea, but not even close to a plot.

Although an idea just hit...
