Robin Hood and Other Tuesday Thoughts
May. 18th, 2010 10:12 amIn addition to seeing The Taming of the Shrew I saw the movie Robin Hood over the weekend. It was an entertaining movie, but mistitled. It should have been called "The Making of Robin Hood" or some such. The scene where Robin Hood is proclaimed an outlaw is the second to last scene in the movie! Rather than go into a more detailed review, let me merely concur with everything said in this review.
What didn't happen this weekend is writing. This is usually my writers workshop night, but for the second time in a row, nobody wrote anything, so the meeting was canceled. It's hard to get a book written if you don't actually, well, write.
Granted, writing with a day job is not easy, but all sorts of people, from
jimhines to William C. Dietz, manage that feat. The Dietz link leads to an article which in summary says:
1) One page every calendar day
2) Good outline
Based on that, tonight's project is "start writing an outline!" ;-)
