Random Thought #1 The first curse of a Catholic grade school education is that one can get asked to give the invocation at one's 25th High School reunion. The second curse is that one can also be asked to run thebingo game 50/50 raffle at that same event.
Random Thought #2 So, yet another online science fiction magazine debuts. I give you Lightspeed Magazine. They've got some financial backing - Jack McDevitt has a story in the debut edtion.

jaylake, I learn that huge seas once existed on Mars. Hellas crater, the purported site, is 1,600 miles wide and 5 miles deep. Pretty sizeable chunk of water.
Random Thought #4 I volunteered to do a panel on self-publishing at Duckon, a local SF convention. Somehow this morphed into five (5) panels! (Actually, I know how it happened - various begging and pleading by the con-runners plus my being a softie.)
Tomorrow and Friday - two pre-cooked articles on water on the Moon.
