chris_gerribI've been planning for a year now to take a week off after World Con and tour various National Parks in California and Oregon. Due to the departure of my lead tech at work, this plan is in serious jeopardy. Without that tech, I really don't have a lead server guy at work. To make matters worse, me being gone would leave the help desk at 50%, which is tough to sustain for almost two weeks.
I will still attend World Con, and probably take the following Monday off, but the tour of the National Parks looks to be off the calendar. I am, needless to say, somewhat pissed, but since I have not booked anything that's not refundable or easily canceled, I'm not out any money. I may also plan vacations later in the year.
