1) As Paul Krugman points out, the European financial crisis has nothing to do with deficits or social spending. Spain and Ireland had budget surpluses, while Germany and France spend a higher share of GDP on social welfare than Greece or any other country in trouble.
2) This woman ended up making a very personal head-to-head comparison of the US and UK health systems. The UK system came out on top.
3) The US Navy now has a real railgun to play with. You may remember the old AT & T saying, "reach out and touch somebody."
