Random Thought #1 Last night, I finished John Hemry / Jack Campbell's latest novel Invincible. It's another really good "Space Fleet in Spaaaace!!!" novel, and needs to be devoured in one sitting. I especially like Hemry's aliens (we see three races) - they are most definitely not humans in rubber masks!
Random Thought #2 On Facebook, I was asked why I had a character named Twyla Tharp. The lady who asked is a high school classmate, and she (like me) vaguely recalls somebody by that name in our high school. The real reason Twyla's in the book is that I'm horrible with names. So, when I need to name a character, I grab names from magazines, web pages and anywhere else I can find them.
Random Thought #3 Over on my review blog, my co-conspirator points out that the current New York Times bestseller list includes three self-published titles. The times, they are a changin'.
